Mt. Hamilton YSL and Evergreen Valley College have teamed up to offer some of the best soccer academy training in town and in our very own backyard
Soccer academies will be held the beautiful EVC soccer fields and will be taught by some of Bay Area’s best soccer coaching staff in town.
The academies are designed to help players improve in all aspects of the game. Topics include ball mastery, beginning and intermediate technical skills, offensive and defensive team tactics, small sided games, and physical training for speed, agility, and quickness.
Evergreen Valley College All Girls Soccer Academy
Felicia Perez Head Women’s Soccer Coach, Evergreen Valley College
Felicia enters her seventh year as Head Coach of the EVC Lady Hawks. She currently holds her USSF “A” license and NSCAA Premier diploma. In addition to her duties as Coach and PE Instructor at EVC, she is also active in the local youth soccer scene.
Laura is the Assistant Soccer Coach, third year, with the EVC program, and has worked 7 years with the Oak Grove HS Varsity Team. Laura is a CSCS Certified strength and conditioning specialist. She has M.A. Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology
Sherman is the Strength & Conditioning Coach, Santa Clara University, Women’s Soccer.
He is a NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning specialist. He has the USSF “C” & NSCAA National Diploma.
Fernando is the EVC Assistant Coach since 2010, and has also coached Gilroy HS women’s soccer for7years. He earned a B.S. from SFSU in Kinesiology. He has played PDL and CPSA (California
Gina was the coach for Almaden Valley, 2009, coached at Mitty HS in various capacities from 2001to 2005. She was a member of the Bay Area Cyberrays 2001-2002. Gina was on the Mexican National Team 1998-2001, and played in the World Cup 1999.
Sandy has played for the Sunnyvale Alliance Roadrunners and Central Valley Woodrows, ODP District and State teams. She played varsity Soccer for St. Francis HS, Division 1 soccer at Cal Poly, SLO, was a member of the Mexican National Team and played semi-pro soccer with the Northern California Blues.
Lexie is the current goalkeeper for the Santa Clara University Women’s Soccer Team. She has played on club teams like the Santa Rosa United and San Diego Surf, as well as for the ODP teams at the State and Regional Levels. While playing at Santa Clara her team has gotten as far as the third round in the NCAA soccer tournament. In her spare time she is active in the local youth soccer scene.
He has been the EVC men and women’s Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper coach since 2011. Luis is also the Assistant Boy’s Varsity Coach for Valley Christian High School in San Jose. Luis has played soccer at Cal Poly (2002-2004), DeAnza College (2004-2005), as well as San Diego State University (2005-2007).
In addition to current EVC players, various other collegiate and professional coaches will assist at the EVC Soccer Academy 2012.
